AFL North East Border is the governing body for Australian Football in the Region and affiliated to AFL Victoria Country. Established in 2013, the AFLNEB Regional Administration Centre is vital to the management and development of the game. The AFLNEB oversees over 60 clubs in 7 leagues and it's Regional Umpiring Department. The AFLNEB works across 11 Local Government Areas including the Albury City Council, City of Wodonga, City of Wangaratta, Rural City of Benalla, Alpine Shire, Towong Shire, Indigo Shire, Moira Shire, Mansfield Shire, Tumbarumba Shire and Federation Shire.
With over 10,000 participants in competition, schools and promotional programs within the region, Australian Football plays a critical role in the local economy, the health and well-being of local communities as well as providing important leadership and life skills to young men and women.
